“We just had to have this colt. He was an absolute cracker and an absolute steal. He is athletic, strong-bodied, and a real two-year-old type. He catches the eye and presents as an early type of runner.

 

Shalaa is a son of Invincible Spirit, the same sire as the all-conquering I Am Invincible. Shalaa has made an immediate impact here in Australia, shuttling to Arrowfield Stud. In his first crop, he had the Magic Millions 2yo Classic Winner Shaquero, who also won the Group 3 Breeders' Plate as a juvenile.

 

He is also the sire of the very smart two-year-old of this season, Semillion, who I'm sure will feature in the prominent juvenile races in the Autumn.

 

His dam Latin Salsa was a two-time winner herself. She is a daughter of the speed influence stallion More Than Ready. He has sired two Magic Millions 2yo Classic winners in his own right. This colt is only the second foal of the mare.

 

This colt's x-rays were spotless, and he is such an athletic sort of horse, I believe he is an outstanding value at the price we have bought him out.
